Dagmar Egelkraut has joined the team as part of her master degree in biology. She studies potential mismatch in the quality of grass in relation to the timing of the breeding season of barnacle geese under global warming. She has placed 72 exclosures on the tundra, half of which are a warmed treatment because they are covered with foil. We study food quality and expect lower quality in warmed plots. Half of the plots will be clipped and compared with the other unclipped plots. Finally geese will be allowed to graze the plots and we will study their preference.
