aanpassing aan kort seizoen

Het regent al de gehele dag. De jaarlijkse hoeveelheid neerslag neemt toe als het gevolg van klimaatverandering. Normale waarden zijn 385 mm, maar het afgelopen jaar was het al 554 mm en voor de maand juli is het meer dan 3 keer de normale waarde. De regen is goed voor de grassen. Dat is ook mopoi te zien aan deze pollen alpenbeemdgras Poa alpigena. Dit gras heeft een fantastische aanpassing aan het korte seizoen doordat de zaden al kiemen in de aar. De plantjes kunnen zich meteen vestigen zodra ze losraken.
