Last week, there were several bear sightings in the fjord. We all have followed special courses in polar bear behaviour and safe rifle use.
And we are always carrying a rifle but also other bear deterrants like a signal pistol, fire works and a loud horn.
Today we have decided for an extra training. We discuss various scenarios and check eachother on safe rifle use (kaliber 308).
The first time, we shoot two bullets as fast as possible. The second time I try to add some stress.
We end with testing the alarm pistol and the fire works.
Now we feel a bit extra prepared.
