Hugh Ellis, from the University of San Diego (USA) has been here for three weeks to study the effect of pollution on metabolic rate in arctic terns. It was a preliminary season to learn how to work with these sensitive birds. And we learned a lot. Earlier in 2012, Hugh studied Kittiwakes, a much easier species and made the video below. | |
