Today, we celebrate the longest day of the year, traditionally on the Saturday closest to 21 June.
In Ny-Ålesund it is tradition to make a bonfire and to dress according a theme.
It is a colourful party, with barbecue and free drinks.
Lovely dressed up people.....
The beer is cooled in a boat full with snow (which is still easy to collect closeby).
Note the brand! Never seen before but made in Holland.
My Dutch girls win the first price with building a sand castle.
